why did i think working 17 hours straight would be a good idea? oh, wait, i didn't - i was caught in a moment of brokeness and agreed to some insanity inducing overtime... the only thing worse than working 17 hours straight, is working 17 hours on christmas day when you haven't worked in over a week - rude awakening doesn't begin to describe how this feels. although i must say that i got that warm, squishy feeling when all of my clients enjoyed the yummy christmas dinner i made - my first ever and it wasn't for my family and it was a success - now i'm just fucking exhausted with nothing to do about it until 7am tomorrow...

in more important news...

my birthday ROCKED! for the first time in years and the quote of the night was:

"at the rate you're going, you'll wake up between two cuban sailors."

i did not wake up between two cuban sailors, i did not wake up next to anyone, as a matter of fact, although it was not my house i finally passed out in... i had pizza and mexican food and beer and gin and wine - i danced and i didn't pay for a goddamn thing (as it should be on ones birthday) i did consume many alcoholic beverages while walking all around portland and was the poster child for public drunkedness - it was great and i don't remember seeing even one cop

and the next day...

i did not have a hangover, nor did i have a parking ticket on my illegally parked car - but i was taken out for breakfast

cloud-fucking-nine, folks - that's where i was

and my christmas rocked out too - it's nice to have a family that gives a shit about me and my ability to pay my bills
