I finished upgrading home network, new modem router, ethernet solution which has surge cleaning and a new NAS, also moving from wireless G to wireless N.

It was arduous and expensive, but worth it if my backups work now and I get a faster more reliable connection.

gratz - I'd do that too if I could get VZW to provide me a reliable DSL connection wink.

Yes I despair at some of the providers too. My biggest issue was that Apple have a known problem with wifi backups and using NAS services, so it tends to call for an expensive workaround, $600 later I am there.....

But its been a learning curve, I think that Apple need to release an update to fix it for Snow Leopard. However at least I have overall speed, feature and performance benefits for my spend. smile
