Returned to the archery range after more than a year's absence. Using a borrowed recurve bow since last year I gave my old compound bow to my nephew so that he could learn to shoot. Quite a few members of my family have done archery for years. It's a fun sport, whether or not you can hit a bullseye ;)

While I think I'd have to use a compound to hunt (I don't have the strength to hold the poundage at full draw long enough waiting on a shot - compounds make this easier), I prefer traditional archery. I don't typically use a sight. Long bow is my favorite for target practice - though I think it'd be fun to learn to shoot with a horse bow.
