Continuing my journey...

This is a photo I took of the Grand Canyon out my airplane window as I left Arizona for Texas.



I've been spending time with my sister here in Austin. My first weekend here, we went to a fun boat party where her boyfriend was the DJ.



The following weekend I checked out a bit of the ROT Rally that was going on. Tons of cool motorcycles and fun people.

Austin has an interesting crowd. I love the vibe - everywhere you look, tattoos and piercings. I've decided to fly back to Iowa this friday just to get my car and a few things. Then I'll be moving down here for a while. If any of you are located around here, let me know. I'm new to the area and could use some cool people to hang out with I've already started the job search. With any luck, I'll have something steady soon so I can rent my own place and not have to couch crash at my sister's place.

It's been really great getting to see her again. It had been over a year since we had last seen each other and now we're getting some much needed catch up time. I'm pretty much an open book with my sister. I love having a family member I can share everything with... Even if sometimes we're at each other's throats over stupid things.... Siblings

I'm pressing onward, through all the mess of my last big break up. I think getting my ass completely out of Iowa is the best thing for me right now. It's been a hard road but there's no sense in turning back now. I just keep hoping I can make something good out of all this. Better than whatever I had before.
