I'm so proud of myself... I woke up today with enough time to shower, blow dry my hair, put on decent clothes, drive my mom to the subway and be EARLY for class. Woo! Normally I wake up five minutes before I need to be out the door...I brush my teeth... put on the first clean clothes I can find and run out the door... (I am NOT a morning person friends).
I'm also proud of myself because I paid for my own livejournal today. Of all my years of paid account time, I haven't paid for it once... I got some anonymous gifts and other times I begged people with credit cards to pay for me... lol... but I finally gave in and set up a paypal acct. So I bought me some more paid account time. I know this is pointless information... but I felt like sharing it anyhow.
We spent three hours in class today discussing 'pitches' and then we watched this relatively interesting video of documentary pitches done at the 'Banff television convention' in 2001. I was right on with my predictions of who got the money... I can smell a good pitch from MILES away!! Too bad I can't deliver one without turning all red and shaking.
In other fun news... I laid to rest my two evil evil evil piece of shit computers last night. I wanted to take them onto the road and take a sledge hammer to them... but my dad wouldn't let me.
So yeah... lotsa memories with those hunks of monkey shit... but I can't say I'm sad to see them go. My parents said as a xmas & b-day gift they will buy me a new (FUNCTIONING) computer. And my dad said he'll buy it this week...
YAYAYAYAYA! I know nothing about computers... what should I make sure it has? Anyone have advice? I would really like to buy a MAC, but I can't see my dad wanting to dish out that kinda cash... so any advice will have to be PC-oriented.
Now, I am off to finish cleaning my room... it's a week-long job really... I'm sooooo disorganized. I need to clean the dust off my desk... where the computer once was... I need that space for drafting paper.
Um yeah. That's all.
XOX
P.S. Mr. Ed... the dildo?! ouch.
P.P.S. I've come undone, I'm not the only one... regret, forget me.
edit again: what the bloody hell.. ANOTHER CSI marathon tonight.... man...I'm on CSI overload.... I could totally go work for the forensics team right now.
