The makings of this horrible tragedy were set in place last week when a major fault [crack] in the structural integrity of the phone was compromised with many "accidental" [intentional] contacts with unidentified hard objects [floor, walls, being sat upon].
Amazingly enough, I attached a headset to it and I can use the dialpad to make phone calls. However I can't see when someone is calling me or texting me [so don't text me], and since I recently discovered that the vibrating/ringing capacity is located in the dislodged display, I can't tell when I'm being phoned.
Luckily I synched last week to my desktop so I have everybody's phone numbers.
Summary; don't email/aim/text my phone, and if you call make sure to leave a message.
Sadly, this update is only applicable to the 3 people who call/text me on a regular basis.
