My hair went from pink to blue...feeling fickle.
My doggie is sick! I'll spare you the details (
) but she may go to the vet tomorrow morning. We'll see how she is feeling.
I went to a favorite restaurant the other day (Veganopolis, downtown PDX) and had the most lovely hour-long lunch. It felt good to just sit there and read the paper.
The trees of the city are turning the beautiful shades of autumn, and the rain has been pouring down. I think it is incredibly romantic to curl up in a blanket with a good book and a cup of chai. Right now I am reading "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman.
I am wanting to start sewing (I have a new machine) but I am a bit scared that I will break it. I can barely thread the damn thing, but I WILL prevail.
For the first time ever...EVER! in all of my four years living in this beautiful city, I was caught on a bridge when it went up for a cargo ship coming down the Willamette. I cannot believe that, in four years, in a city with seven bridges that I cross at least four times a week, I have only just now been caught as one went up. People left their cars to look at this huge ship, the wind was blowing, and we were so high up over the water with the sun at our backs. No one cared that they'd be at least ten minutes late reaching their destination.
I told off my best friend's husband in a whiskey induced grandiose speech the other night. I know I was right, and I needed to say it, but perhaps I was a bit harsh. An apology is in order.
I hope everyone is well!
xoxo Me.
