Being home on a Saturday night seems as good a reason as any to blog my recent adventures.
I was in Melbourne from Wednesday through Friday. My friend Springer and I thought it'd be wicked to head down for 30 Seconds to Mars and the fair city did not disappoint. To put a face to the name, here's Springer:

Our hotel was on Elizabeth St so we figured Festival Hall was walkable... Turns out I fail at reading maps and led us 30 minutes in the wrong direction. Subsequently when we finally managed to hail a cab we were nearly an hour late and TheArt were already half way through their set. I danced my way to our seats as Azaria was belting out Indecisive Weirdo, definately one of my favourites. I was really disppointed with their ending though... A cover of The Fear by Lily Allen. KJ took lead vocals and as much as I love her it just didn't cut it. Kind of killed my buzz but then 30 Seconds to Mars started up and they were wonderful.
After the gig we walked to the casino, and I managed to not get us lost that time around. I won 50 on the pokies, got chatted up by a bartender and after a few free cocktails I was well on my way to complete inebriation. So much fun.
Thursday was all about sightseeing. First thing was shopping, so many cute little dresses, then onto the Tim Burton exhibition at lunch. That man is so bat shit crazy, I absolutely loved it. I thought it would be a bit bigger than it was but the Edward Scissorhands suit and the Nightmare Before Christmas puppets were my highlights.
After the exhibition we went to the aquarium to see this guy:

Giant Octopus win! He was so wicked. Other than him there were the penguins that were absolutely adorable, a big sea turtle! "Takin' on the jellys.." and the sharks! Such a wonderful day
And to top off the whole trip Thursday night we had karaoke.
So, all in all my trip was spectacular with one exception... The flight home. I've never had any really bad flight experiences but this was just disgusting. Not only were we late to board, they changed our departing gate three times... Just imagine 150 or so digruntled passengers walking back and forth between two gates before they got their shit together. Then once we finally got to boarding the ladies in front of me made a joke about hoping there was actually a plane waiting on the tarmac and as they passed the two attendants laughed and one slut to the other said "Haha, they think we care." Yes you stupid bitch, you work for this company thus it is your job to ensure your customer's are happy, not revel in their distress when flights are delayed. I was a heartbeat away from punching her in the face but settled for telling her to get fucked as I walked through the gate. BUT! even that experience wasn't enough to ruin my Melbourne adventure.
So there you have it SG, you're now up to date.
