Work has been going well. I've willingly worked 2 - 11 hour days in a row. I know that when I start a new project, my energy is high and my brain works 1,000,000 mph with new ideas. I'm the type of person who likes to QUICKLY impose structure upon chaos. So... that's what I'm doing. I'm very very fortunate to work for a good woman, so that's making ALL the difference in the world.
Well it seems that based on how Kentucky law is and all the circumstances, I'm in a situation where even though there are glaring discrepancies on the police report, my statement at the scene of the accident, etc, no one really gives a shit and I have to live with their inaccuracies and taking 60% of the liability for the accident. There isn't enough personal or property damage to "sue" over. This is according to my attorney who comes HIGHLY recommended by my corporate attny at work. So.... she's pretty much saying, take your lumps and move on. Yes, the dude was drunk,and yes the police report is wrong. But it's not worth going after.
Funny thing, if we were in Ohio? COMPLETELY different story!
Oh well.... it's hard to let go. I feel like in a past life I must have been the person who was always getting away with stuff, and in this life, I'm always taking a kick in the head for things I didn't even do. Karma's a bitch, you know?
It's cold here. Just ordered my LONG down coat from Eddie Bauer. Can't wait for it to show up!
