Is "Reunion" a true story? Because, wow, can I relate. I have a friend who has been on a similar journey and our parents have kept us updated over the years.
Despite the seperate paths we took, it is always strange how close we feel when we are together again.
What is even stranger is that she was the one who always shone when we were kids. She was the one who was considered pretty, talented, smart and popular. Now, she is the one in rehab, trying desperately to get her kids back from her abusive husband while she battles bulemia.
You are a good writer. You have a pretty different style from mine and I like it. Maybe I'll send you some of my newer short stories. I think the stuff you read was pretty old.
