Maybe someone here would appreciate this as my wife seemed to not care and had nothing to say about it.

Anyhow, I just received this email today:

Hi John,
my name is Martin, I'm editor in chief of Germany's best selling magazine for photo enthusiasts and semipros, FOTO HITS Magazine (55.000 copies sold per issue, website: www.fotohits.de ).

Our next issue (which will be published at 16th of december) has a focus on 3D photography. Anaglyphic (paper) glasses will be included (we've ordered some 95.000 pices ad American Paper Optics in Memphis...).

There will also be articles on history of 3D photography, a parctical workshop - and portfolios. John (the president of American Paper Optics, who is a 3D fanatic himself) has sent a mail to his mailing list of 3D artists. I'm not sure whether you 've received it, too - I've attached it FYI.

Anyway: Browsing the Web we found a picture of yours: http://homepage.mac.com/cluelessmorgan/.Pictures/Nixon/Nix-arella3D04.jpg - and I have to admit that this is the most amazing 3D photo I've seen up to now.

If it's o.k. for you (and for the model), I would like to print this photo (and perhaps more of your 3Ds, if there are any?) in our 3D issue. I can't promise it, but perhaps there is even a chance to get it onto the cover (if you like).

Best regards from Heidelberg, Germany

Martin

I'm just waiting to hear back from Nixon, but since today is her birthday, I'm not expecting to hear back from her until tomorrow at the earliest. And I think we're going to suggest s couple of better images, but I'm stoked he found that one to be "... the most amazing 3D photo I've seen up to now".

On a sadder note, two weeks ago today, my best friend Sasha had a miscarriage and lost her baby. I'm glad I was able to be there for her and and could and still can support her through her grief and sorrow, though I am devastated by the whole episode myself. I may write about the experience later when I feel I can collect my thoughts and emotions about it.
