Just saw your comment on the Hardcore Group thread about Midwest bands. I'm nowhere near there, but after reading your post I thought I should check out your band and I have to say it sounds like good stuff to me. I'm pretty much the same way about Hardcore, it's gotta show plenty of punk roots for me to pay attention. Anyway, my band has similar influences and based on your list of favorites I thought you might be interested. You can check us out at www.crime-pays.us. I see you're also a bit older than most of the kids talkin about Hardcore and such, we're all older guys (except for the drummer), your age and up. I always appreciate seeing people in their late twenties and older still doing something in the scene.
