Massive StarCon2/The Ur-Quan Masters spoilers ahead.
Sunday:
Had an easy early game; I sold the bolt gun to get more fusion thrusters and it paid off. After clearing out the good spots in Sol, Alpha Wolf, & Delta Centauri, I started the questing tour. Visited the Pkunk and got their ships, which I turned right around and scrapped for more mods to the flagship. Signed up the Spathi and new I'd have to scrap Fwiffo's ship when I was next by Earth. Grabbed the warp pod and the first rainbow world near the Slylandro, then convinced them to give me the probe destruct code. Sold shit to the Melnorme and bought fuel to get to Arilou space. Converted the warp pod to the Qspace spawner. RTB to collect the three skiffs. Scrapped them and Fwiffo's Eluder, used the RUs for refit. Began the tour of the rainbow worlds in Thraddash space; detoured by Delta Lyncis for the beast. By the time I made Suppox territory, the M. had sold me most every lander mod so I started collecting radioactives from the rainbows big time. Called it a day.
Monday:
Didn't get my UQM on. Did see Thomas Frank again; he was as hopped up as ever. The line was so long I wished I'd bought his book the first time. RTB and crashed.
Tuesday:
Called home for birthday wishes, did a load of laundry.
Resumed the rainbow tour; detoured at Arcturus to pick up the Burvixese 'Caster. Dashed into the Doctrinal territory for one more rainbow (which had me finessing my way around 12 Kohr-Ah with some right smart boathandling), then Qspaced out to persuade the Pkunk to stay home. Dropped off the Beast, picked up the Shofixti, then went for the Zeta Sextantis rainbow world. Had some fuel delivered just before planetfall around Delta Gorno, where I started in with massive smack talk I love the samurai rodents! Qspaced over to the VUX/Yehat/Mycon triple point, picked up the last rainbow and the three egg cases. Had to jettison some commons, nobles, and rare earths to make room for the precious and radioactives, but the 2000 unit holds were filled. RTB to cash out. Stripped out every mod and replaced with 16 hi-cap tanks. Left Earth with 15 units of fuel and Qspaced to Zeta Persei with about 0.3 fuel units to spare. Sold the two egg cases, getting one Mauler and one Rosy Sphere, then sold the caster for fuel. Take that, you snot-nosed demonic slave traders! RTB. Sold off the Mauler and the 1500 surplus fuel at the base, then rebuilt in battle config: 1 hi-cap, 2 crew, 1 point defense, 1 auto-tracker, 3 dynamos, 1 hellbore up front, and everything else Shiva. Had about 15000 RU to spare. Picked up the Umgah caster from Epsilon Gruis 1a.
Still to do: foment Thraddash/Ilwrath mutual anihilation, repair Ultron, foment Yehat civil war, collect Taalo mind rock, Syreen, Sun Device, Chmmr, hbfm, planeteering bomb, and win the game. Should have this wrapped up by summer of 2156 or fall at the latest, I hope.
