Well its been a busy week for myself. This past weekend I attended a CD Release and by the power of greyskull I was up at 5am (THE ONLY ONE IN MY HOUSE!!) to watch Team Canada win GOLD!
I'm sure by now you all know my passion for the sport HOCKEY. Born and raised Canuck here... BEER AND HOCKEY BABY! So I woke up before the crack of dawn, tried to wake rest of the slumber party up but alas everyone was "too tired" ME NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
The funniest was last week. My Mom is not that into sports. Shes actually banned me from the house during playoffs if the Red Wings are playing. I am one of those scream at the top of my lungs kinda gals who pace the room like a junkie waiting for a fix.
So she called me to ask me about this player on the USA Team. I am chatting about the Canada USA game and said I was actually shocked because USA was looking GOOD... too damn GOOD. She said to me "Who is this Pat Kane??? He is so cute! Is he an NHL Player?"
I said MOM you've watched him a million times before, actually I'm sure you've heard me curse about him. YES Kane plays for the Blackhawks, hes one of the best in the league he is currently sitting in the 5th spot for points.
My Mother "OOOOOOHHH really??? I think I am now a Blackhawks Fan".
My response "MOTHER YOUR DEAD TO ME"
LOL I was totally kidding but I said to her for the love of hockey gods, first your cheering for Nashville bc they were hit with a flood and you felt bad.. then your cheering for the Hawks bc they have a cutie?? How about you jump on my Red Wings Bandwagon??? I think the Hockey Gods are telling you to.
First... she tells me during the playoffs I got banned from the house watching "Is that a Michael Babcock on that bench??? Is he a Coach?" I whip my head at her... I said HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT IS?! YOU NEVER KNOW NAMES!!!?!? "Oh I went to High School with Him!!! That is so nice to see him in the NHL".
WTF MOM? You went to the same high school as a Stanley Cup Champ, Two Gold Medals and Worlds? ENVY RUNS THROUGH MY VEINS!
Then New Years Day this year they had the Winter Classic in Detroit. So after the game they played the GORDIE HOWE MOVIE! If you haven't seen it DO IT! It brings a tear to any hockey fans eyes. I am telling her how much I loved the film and I thought they did a wonderful job on his story. My moms response "Oh the Howe's lived across the street from us. You know every time Gordie would come home he would have an entourage outside the house waiting from him?"
DEAREST MOTHER...... I THINK THE STARS ARE ALIGNED... YOU SHOULD BE A RED WINGS FAN!
Talyn Stone was in Calgary performing at the Crimson Event. I was able to catch up for some girl time and shoot a very emotion set with her called NO MORE TEARS.
Talyn recently had a life changing moment with the one she loved and she was on a downward spiral of darkness after a great loss. We came up with this set idea in a tub to show her shedding her inhibitions.
If you hit her page on Hazzardous Material you can see the full dark set. It was hard to keep it together when I saw her cry. I am happy she wanted to share this moment with me.
Calgary has been balls deep in a freezer for a while. KatNoir wanted to do a set with a sheet. A black sheet. I told her this would be the best time to do it because BLACK would POP out in the white.
Everyone was telling us this is very Game of Thrones feel so I am thinking MAYBE we should hit up a tribute set to that show this spring or summer. I've got some Dark Disney Booked over the next couple of months with a Hazzardous Twist so there is more fantasy coming out of our woodwork.
KatNoir has some amazing eyes. They are this crystal blue that pierce your soul. This shot you see here I never touched her eyes in editing. THIS IS HOW THEY LOOK WHEN THE LIGHT HITS THEM!!!! Amazing I tell you!!!!

We did a Geek Tribute set with Kidd Vicious. Our fox is almost a EMT in Alberta and talks about the hardships of being nose deep in book studying all the time so we thought we should do a set for this.
We went retro for Kesley's Set HOT HEELS. I LOVED these shoes. She picked them up at a sale last year and never did a set with them. So I figured what a better way to showcase her new leg ink to the fans with a FUCK PANTS FRIDAY set.

This is Jen Ginga's hot tush with attitude! I can't wait until summer because shes a horse trainer. We are doing a beautiful set with her furbaby horse. When she asked me if I wanted to come out to her farm and do a artistic nude with horses I was jumping all over that idea.
Well back to the grind. I've got 16 sets to shoot starting Saturday in Red Deer. We're working with babes for Zivity, Hazzardous Material and then end of March we are in Edmonton shooting client sessions, Zivity and more Hazzardous Material.
