It is -30 in Calgary.... I could CRY!
My poor furbabies can't go outside so its time for the pee pad. The husband was told to stay home because his plant is not functioning and here I am working on my edits debating about crawling back into bed in pj's.
I wanted to hit a movie tonight but with this cold when the sun goes down its almost unbearable to be outdoors. So screw warming a car up after a flick. I'll wait until the next chinook hahaha.
Freaking LOVE this set with Kelsey. She's been swamped with work and her wedding planning and finally we had a chance to hammer out a couple of sets and get some good girl time in.

I am getting really excited to shoot more band photos this month. Last year I photographed four bands for the album inserts. I am doing another one with masks. This band got some really cool elephants created for the cover and made into masks. So were doing the band with masks on, then my models with the masks in lingerie. BOOM talk about sexy fest right there! When they release everything in March I'll share on here what we photographed.
I had to do a Resume for Photography. I can't tell you how hard that was. I have not had to provide a Resume for work since I was 19! which was 11 years ago! I was contacted by the Stampede and asked for one along with a portfolio.
I've been assisting big stage shows here for the past 3 years. I really hope and pray to the photography gods that I get the job. I've been shooting the bars during the ten days and the drunk patrons but to be honest I can't stand it.
Last Stampede I shot Cowboys Nightclub, Flames Central (along with shooting international DJ acts) and the Wildhorse. I can't stand how rude people are when they are drunk. I am no angel trust me, but when your bombed at 1am and telling me I suck at taking photos you need to understand its not me its you! I had one girl barely walking telling me I was a horrible photographer and the bar should not hire someone who cant take a decent photo of her.
We have to be polite but this was my last night so I grabbed out my card. I gave it to her and said listen, when you wake up with a hangover from hell tomorrow email me on the contact page apologizing for your rudeness. I shoot models and musicians. I have NEVER got a complaint about my work in the 3 years in business. I've been published 3 times, worked on 6 albums and I am sorry you look like a drunk hot mess but that is WHAT you are. Her girlfriend grabbed the card and said YOUR HAZZARD!!!!??? Yes I sure am! bet you did not recognize me in my jeans, cowboy boots and dress shirt but that is the attire they put me in! Her friends apologized over and over. I said to them just remember what you put out comes back.
The night before that I was seconds away from getting a face full of puke. I cut around the back side of the venue and a dude came flying out projectile vomiting. I don't understand getting THAT drunk. When I am 3 sheets to the wind and know I am not the easiest person to tolerate but I've never in my life puked in a bar. I've puked outside of a bar after being drugged and carried by friends but never IN the bar lol.
Here is a behind the scenes shot of me bloodying up the babes. We did a tribute last summer to the Devils Rejects and shot on a small farm outside of Calgary. It was a scortcher that day. I remember bitching why did I wear black? LOL
It was too much fun doing this set! I love the movie and it was awesome to cosplay such killer characters.
