What a weekend!!!
So this past one was a really good one. Friday I got to work the Oxford Stomp Show as a photographers assistant. I was truly blessed to be able to attend this, learn the ropes of a large stage show and then I even got to assist on the meet n greets. The best part... at the end of each meet n greet I got to get in there and meet the band and get a photo as well. I met Big Wreck, Theory of a Deadman and the Goo Goo Dolls.
Ive always wanted to see the Oxford Stomp as its a huge corporate windup party and the only way in is if you were given tickets from a large company in Calgary. So I got to feel like the ritz for a day/night and also on cloud 9 as I got to stand on the other side of the barricade while I watched this killer bands work the crowd.
Saturday I relaxed then loaded up the gear for the Hazz Mat all ages bash. It was a wicked show. The only downfall was the no booze and some of the tiney boppers were driving me nuts!. We lowered the prices of the Tanks/Ts to a special $10 for kids night and I still had little shit heads haggle me. One of them had the nerve to tell me he was with one of the bands and that he never pays for tour shirts so if I wanted to give him clothes then thats cool because he wont pay for anything. I was like are you serious!? We dropped the price in half because most of these kids probably dont even have jobs and we sold a couple to kids but most of ours sold to people our age. I was happy because some people came out just for the merch to save money on the shipping! I have to order in more of all sizes today because we are running low on the ladies tanks. Those sold like hot cakes!

So another tid bit for everyone. I canceled my Calgary Wedding. I wanted to wait to tell everyone about it after I hammered down my details for the Maui one. After months of stressful planning I've had nothing but ungreatful relatives and friends. So many people now were saying "Oh I am sorry I didnt realize it was a weekday" what part of over a year in advance for the date 12/12/12 did you not understand? not only that people are not wiling to book flights and risk the drive in the dead of winter. So I sat back and said what the fuck are we doing? we wanted a destination wedding and we nixed that to accomidate these assholes who can't even guarentee they are coming!? so I lost all our deposits and booked Maui. So now I will be getting married on the beach.
I really did not want to let this cat out of the bag for a little while and I told my bridesmaids and my parents. Then this weekend at a show I had two people ask me why we broke things off and is everything okay? I said what!?!?! who told you this? well so and so heard from so and so and it came from your Bridesmaid. I am now at the realization that I can no longer trust anyone but myself with things because gossip spreads like a wild fire.
So I am off to prep for my shoots! Hope everyone has a fab day!!!!
