I got to class today... and as per usual there was no parking so I left... I suppose it's my fault for leaving late. but still it's just dumb they just sell parking permits to everyone.... I mean they don't even keep track of how many spaces there are or anything... I could see overselling the permits by like maybe 60 or so maybe even 90 but I mean they just sell them to pretty much anyone.... then all the streets around the school are like 1 hour -2 hour parking only but only during the time most classes are in! that's so damn lame. they need to make another parking structure or 2. I mean it's sick there's just too many people there.

I don't like crowded places.... and strangers make me very uncomfortable... and nervous... anxious even.

anyhow I suppose I should call barry and ask him what's up with the band practice.... ugh but I'm still afraid that I'm not good enough to play with them...I know music theory basics... and they don't so I have that advantage... but I don't feel I know the bass as well as I should. I shouldn't have to think where my fingers go for a note I should just feel it ... just know it.... that's how it was on my trumpet.... I need to practice more ::sigh::

hmm ahh a question:

do you or have you ever played any instruments and what were or are they? (and don't say something lame like the skin flute or kazoo)

That parking sitiation is pretty much the same at De Anza College, where I go. It really sucks, they've even started a shuttle service to trolly people in from surrounding areas.

I play guitar, some recorder, some irish whistle (I know those last two are lame), a little bit of Berimbau (brazilian instrument), and some uke and drums. Music is fun, I wish I dedicated more time to it - I was once a fanatic, but with full time work and full time school, I don't have much time. I need to practice more ::sigh::

I know how you feel though. It's intimidating. Maybe that's why I haven't joined a band yet - not to mention the crippling competition there is when it comes to playing guitar (Who doesn't?!). But being in a band is probably the best way to learn, I think. Keep it up.
