You know what's starting to bug me lately. People (usually americans), who are all like "Yeah I'm <insert european nationality here>, my mum / dad was totally born there!"
Which means that said person wasn't. Which means they are no more of that country than I am...
Eg:
"Oh hey, I'm Irish ya know!"
"Really?"
"Yeah, My grandad was Irish, and my Grandmother was French, so I am french Irish."
"But your parents were born in the US?"
"Yes."
"And so were you?"
"Yes."
In this case, the person is definatly AMERICAN! I'm so sorry you all want to be from Europe, where history comes from, but if you were born in the US, you are American. Same as me. I have Scotish + Irish + Belgic herritage... I was born in England. I am thus English. It sucks. Get over it.
