It'a amazing how productivity can bring you peace of mind. Working here on this video using Photoshop, Aftereffects, and Final Cut Pro, I am more calm than I've been in awhile.
This whole project is making me feel a little philosophical. Right now, I am taking pieces of sketches by Leonardo Da Vinci and putting them into sketches made of concert footage I shot. For one specific part, I need to express the idea that spotlights have overlapping rays, so I literally putting Mr. DaVinci's simple little cross-hatch lines in the spaces there the light rays share similar territory.
I doubt the man could have ever imagined his work being used for this purpose as he scratched them out over and over again. I am zooming in enough that I can see the tiny variations caused by the way his hand moved over the paper. History when it connects you to people is a marvellous thing.
SGNY's Saturday night was mellow. But I gotta stop showing up so early. Nothing more unnatural than being at a bar and not drinking. Consequently, I ended up drinking many many beers that night. At least it was PBR.
And in case some of you haven't read "Devil on the White City" yet, I recommend you do so right now. It's up there among my favorites. Anyway, it's about the Chicago World's Fair in 1893, which is an amazing story in and of itself. What makes it even more interesting is that it was the place where America's first serial killer began his spree. Really gruesome.
The whole point of this is that Pabst Blue Ribbon won that Blue Ribbon at that World's Fair. So, there'a fun fact for the next party.
But really, read the book.

on vacation, yes, I hadn't really slept since the night before, so I don't think it really counts. Normally though, no I do not drink bourbon at 1:45, unless it's a.m.

Thanks for the hints on having pictures on there! .. it is defiently a good idea.. i am going to take some pics this weekend. hopefully might move the sales along a little!
