I was just sitting here and heard something that sounded like a man's voice saying "hello". Quiet and low, you know, obviously the voice of a murderer or rapist. Usually I only get crazy and paranoid when I'm alone for days or sleep deprived. Or at least that's the only time I get crazy and paranoid in a "someone's going to kill me" way.

Is it possible for a laundry machine to make a noise like that?
