The move to Vegas is finished. I'm pretty well unpacked and set up. Just gotta get some shelves to stack stuff on and I'm set.
And the first thing I'm going to talk about is baldness.
Well, not baldness itself, but products to prevent baldness. Like this shampoo I recently saw advertised on television.
I forget the name of the stuff and how it works, but I do remember one of the testimonials. This guy, 'bout mid-30's, full head of hair, comes on and starts gushing about the product. No big deal. That's what these mini-infomercials do.
But then he introduced his twin brother.
His very bald twin brother.
His very bald twin brother WITH THE THICKEST SOUTHERN ACCENT EVER.
And just in case you're wondering: The unbald twin didn't have a trace of twang. Or drawl, whatever.
Now, sure, it's possible the twin could have picked the accent up over his lifetime. It's not likely, but it's possible.
But I'm just going to keep believing that the accent was faked. It makes the commercial way funnier and twice as ridiculous.
