Holy crap, the past few days have been awesome.
On Monday, I got to spend the whole day with my Navy pal. It was cool because over the last two years he's been gone, I've only seen him maybe half a dozen times.
We re-lived old times and went to Universal Studios. Then we came back to my house and played Worms: Armageddon on my Dreamcast.
We got our picture taken with not only Spider-Man, not only Daredevil, but the Green Goblin, too!
Spider-Man, Daredevil, Green Goblin, The Fodd, and a Navy medic in the same picture! It's too incredible to believe!
I made the funniest stupid face in it. I wanted to share but when I tried scanning it, it came out very unclear and dark. You don't get the full awesomeness of my funny face. So I'm going to need to find a better scanner.
And I'll tell you another thing about Universal Studios:
YOU HAVEN'T LIVED UNTIL YOU'VE SEEN THE SPIDER-MAN ROCK AND ROLL SHOW!
Imagine, if you will, a dance version of the Spider-Man movie set to the pop hits of 1998. (Although they threw in dance versions of "Another One Bites The Dust" and that Foo Fighters song about Kurt Cobain because it contained the word "hero" in it.)
But, seriously, seeing Spider-Man dance-battle the Green Goblin is easily the defining moment of my life.
And don't even get me started on the Spider-Man Interpretive Dancers!
Five glorious minutes of two guys and a girl that have NOTHING to do with the show at all come out and dance and sing and yell "Thank you, Spider-Man!"
Although, to be fair, Spider-Man did swing around the auditorium. And it looked REALLY cool.
...I want to swing around an auditorium.
...Or at least be able to run around in public dressed as Spider-Man. That would be cool.
And then yesterday I saw Lou Reed in concert.
Best. Concert. Ever.
Oh, man. I can't even think of how to describe how cool it was.
