Some really cool things are happening in pairs this week.
Tomorrow, The Hulk comes out in theatres.
Tomorrow, my best friend comes back from Rhode Island for a few weeks.

Tuesday, the new Liz Phair album comes out.
Tuesday, I get to see Lou Reed in concert.
All I need now is for two wicked awesome things to happen on Sunday. Well, I guess Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law and Aqua Teen Hunger Force count. Man, I love those shows.
(And a special shout out to Sealab 2021, neglected only because it throws off the pair theme.)
Speaking of Birdman: check out this Birdman action figure! Holy crap, that's awesome!

A fuckin' light-up fist! How cool is that?
Oh, remember the Bible paper I turned in? Well, I got it back in the mail the other day. I got a B- on it! The only comment the teacher left was something like, "The humor is effective, but there needs to be a more coherent tone to the paper." Whatever.
I'll coherent tone him!
And apparently I'm going to be playing Batman in an independent movie based on Batman: Beyond.
My sister is the director of photography and her friend is the director. So that's how I got nominated for the role.
See, it's a sequel. Yeah, there was a first one. The story behind the casting, as far I remember my sister telling me, is that one of the the writers (her friend) on the first one took over directing responsibilities for this sequel. So the director of the first one, who also starred as Batman, quit. So they need a new Batman. My sister recommended me, of all people. And I guess they're going with me because they have no one else. I told her they should probably find someone else, but I'd be cool to do it if they couldn't. 'Cause I'm not an actor and have no aspirations of becoming one.
I still have doubts about this thing actually happening, though. I don't really know my sister's friend too well. He could be making the whole thing up. Well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
But it would probably be a cool gig. I like the fact that I'm playing the star's replacement in a sequel. Think about all the sequels you've seen where they had to replace the star. I
those. So my warped sense of humor is allowing me to fully enjoy the idea.
Although, it DOES mean I'll have to work with some kids I went to high school with.
Kids I hated.
Hated a lot.
Whatever, though. I'll coherent tone them all!!!

ill go medieval viking on teachs ass! how could the paper have any more of a coherent tone? it definitely had a tone, and i was coherent, dammit! bollocks! im making up that part of your day. instead of B- and being pissed, you received an A++++++++++[to infinity... and beyond]. this is the only resonable thing you could have ever received, so you accept it without even needing to read the comments. had you actually read the comments, you would have discovered "amazing!"s and "brilliants!"s and "genius!"s dotting every page, plus a paragraph about how it was the best thing your teacher had ever read, and it brought tears to his eyes. for this is the only truth.
you are so the best person EVER to play batman. better than michael keaton! better than george feckin cloony! better than that choady guy [who for the wonders of pot has escaped my brain] from the original! you will be a star! ever though the crew will suck. thats ok. youll out diva them all!
