I'm sitting at work on Saturday afternoon. Listening to this American life. Those of you that aren't familiar with the show - it's a radio show on npr that tells stories on a theme through interviews. Today it starts out with this old tape recording a little kid had sent to his father. His dad was a merchant marine and would be gone for 6 months at a time. I am now very depressed.
