Has anyone out there been watching the debates? God, W is so dumb. I remember this one question he got asked about about supreme court appointments. He replied like a kid that got caught with his finger in the pie. The least offensive reason he could think of for haveing judges the follow a strict interpretation was the dread scott decision. Which he phrased in the most inept way possible saying somthing like - "well if it wasn't for an activist judge in the early 19th century that guy wouldn't have had to go back to slavery.". Ironic that he would use that example since civil rights would be one of the items on the chopping block if he gets what he wants.
