I just recently saw the triplets bellevile. Didn't think it was that great. It was weird enough but it just really draged.

One movie I really want to see is "Good Bye Lenin" It looks funny as hell and I love communist/post communist era shit.

I remember seeing this one documentary on China and it's transition to a free market economy. One of the aspects they focused on was this one plant that used to be the pride of chinese industry. With privatizeation it had become obsolete overnite. They showed a small group of workers being sounciled on what to do "in case" they loose their jobs. It had to be one of the most depressing things I've ever seen on tv. There was this one guy whose entire career had been built around writing bulettins on a chalk board. You could just see it in his eyes that he new he was dog meat, but the expression was more "you couldn't possibly fire me because then I would be totaly fucked.". I geuss what got me about the whole thing was that these people had been so trusting in the system that the whole affair of closeing the plant had been unthinkable. At the time the documentary had been made the government was dumping tons of money into these plants so they could modernize and stay competitive but the money was being squanderd one way or another. Sucks...

communism will work. only a matter of time. people in free market societies will learn their unhappiness, just give it another 300 years. there's only .01 % of the population that actually gets to live. eventually, common people will figure that out.
