As you may have noticed, I finally got around to adding an actual picture of myself today. After half an hour of running around my room with my camera phone (it turns out that it's really hard to take a pic of yourself with my actual camera. The button is in a funny place) I finally took a pic that I quite like. It has become quite clear that I do need a haircut, though.

I spent a bit of time today thinking about why I like Suicide Girls, and I came up with a couple of things:

1. Imperfections. They don't use soft focus, stupid amounts of makeup or airbrushing to get rid of them. And I like that. Imperfections are sexy.

2. There's something very personal about it. It's more like a culture site... which happens to feature lots of pics of hot naked girls.

3. Mary Whitehouse really wouldn't like it.

4. SG's realisation that sometimes what you don't see is much more sexy than what you do.

Also, I had a lot of trouble not adding the entire of the Apnea: Buterfly set to my favourites. On almost any other site that set could have turned out really sleazy, but instead it's almost certainly one the the most erotic, sexiest and just plain beautiful things I've ever seen. Call that reason 5, right there.

In the interests of breaking this up and adding some colour, I will now post a pic. This is just plain wrong, but I can't look at it for more than about 5 seconds without laughing out loud:



Poirot: what a git. I like him, he's very clever, but he's still a git. I finally got around to reading the first couple of short stories in my book. It's good so far.

I picked up my pay cheque from work today. They havn't had any work for me for about 2 weeks, due to a lack of customers. I should look for another job, but my finals start in less than 3 weeks, so I may just try and live on the money I have.
