I'm really excited for this one, I shot with @coolicio a couple of weeks ago and the results are amaaaaaazing. SHE'S amazing! Seriously, a wizard of a photographer, I'm so lucky. Can't wait to share a few teasers with you over the next few months to tide you over with the wait.

I've been plugging along with making more bobby pins because I was shortlisted for a local glass prize & exhibition that opens in June.
I also got a full scholarship for a sculpture class at Pilchuck Glass School in July, so am traveling overseas for about a month, and I seriously cannot wait!!! I've got a group exhibition in Melbourne in July, & I'm also working towards a solo exhibition next year in Sydney, so I'm busy with that too. 2017 is shaping up to be a really good year for me so far. I've been teaching glassblowing at the Sydney College of the Arts, 2 days a week, and have been asked to teach the rest of the year, which is awesome. I have 45 students at the moment, and they're all amazing, I got a good batch, and they have come leaps and bounds since we first started together. I've been commuting up, a 4 hour drive each way for me, from my little rural town, but I loooove driving, so it's been pretty good, and I've been able to catch up with lovely friends like @cherrybuttonz & @verde while I'm up there💞
My birthday is on Monday, and I always reflect a bit when I roll around the sun another year. I never in a million years thought I'd make it to the ripe old age of 42, but here I'm about to celebrate it, I'm so stoked to be where I am at this moment in time. I reckon I'm going to start writing about my life, slow and steady, as I have some INSANE stories to tell, mostly all revolved around drugs, sex and rock and roll, hitchhiking across the US and many other mind blowing experiences that I will slowly forget if I don't start documenting NOW! I've recently bought a new computer, so it's a motivator. It's always been a plan to write about my life, because even I can't believe it sometimes, the things I've done and seen, traveling through time. I'm seriously so fucking lucky.
When the 20th of May rolls around, which it should shortly, will mark ONE YEAR OF NO MARIJUANA!! I remember when @rambo & @missy posted one of my blogs from the beginning of the serious struggle that it was. I can't believe how far I've come with my life since quitting after 27 years of solid smoking. What a game changer. There's no way to 100% describe the freedom I feel from it, but I'm sure you can get an idea. Addiction is not a fun thing, to be completely consumed by something, that is running your life, and your finances! I have sooooo many of you to thank here on SG for your support over the last 12 months. I don't think I would have made it this far without you all. @jacinto2 @floydian @smokedog @suilewie71 @sunflower just to name a few ❤️ Thank you guys so much!
I love this community and the support it brings for each other. Such a genuine group of beautiful people. I hope you've all been traveling well, and will keep you updated on other happenings as we descend into winter down here! Got the wood burning stove running as we speak. Off to get another load of firewood tomorrow. Believe it or not, I'm pretty handy with the chainsaw too. 😉
