This weekend was slow. It didn't seem like anybody was around.
Two of my friends at the newspaper write a weekly entertainment column. This last Thursday they had a 50th column anniversary party at this bar called Valentine's. The bar kinda sucks. The deal was they could play whatever music they wanted and serve cake from 10 PM to 12 AM. Only a few people showed up and they were all from work, which was cool. The bar owners weren't around, but the employees were not really into the party, such as it was. I guess the 12 minute black metal song they wanted to play was the straw that broke the camel's back and everybody pretty much left for BJs. I was there for the first hour and half, but left early because I had to go in and update the paper's website. So I missed the end of things. I don't think the Ween or Captain Beefheart went over too well either. Things were better at BJs and we wound up having an after hours at one of the guy's houses. It was a hat trick of fun with fireworks, Bud Light and Nintendo. It was a good time, but the rest of the weekend was quiet.

A display case sounds like waaaaaaaay too much broken glass for me, I'm glad you came out of it ok.
