My friend sent me the demo of his band. It isn't very good. I think that they weren't together very long when they recorded it and that is why it isn't so hot. They have been playing out more, so hopefully they have gotten better. The whole "friend's band" situation gets difficult sometimes, especially if they aren't very good. You need to support them because they are your frineds, but at the same time you have to provide constructive criticism so that they can get better without hurting their feelings. The Pixies aren't my friends, but they were awesome on Austin City Limits tonight. I had to wait a week to see the show because the station had their auction to raise money last week. Why can't we fund PBS instead of some misguided war for oil?
