It's nice to be on break from the college for a few weeks. I still have the day job, but that isn't too bad beyond the 8 AM start to the day. I'm used to it and can take a nap or two when I get home.

I've been painting a little. One of my goals is to get some new art made this year. It's my last try for painting. I was never much of a painter and I keep forcing myself to try. If it doesn't work out, then I'm giving up on painting for good. I did printmaking and really want to do that again. I can use the college studio, but they don't have good ventilation and in talking to the professor in charge, I want no part of safe printmaking. It ain't that toxic if you know what you are doing. They are also only set up for copper etching, which is more toxic than zinc. Not to mention copper prices are through the rough now, which is a bum deal for the college students. I just need to build my own studio.

One of my friends is starting an e - 'zine that I'm going to be writing and handling photography for. He doesn't have much design experience, but I think it will be a good project for him to work on. He is a reporter and has some general knowledge about laying out pages and whatnot.

Loretta has been missing in action for way too long now.
