Had a horrible flashback of my ex's abusive behaviour today when I had to explain it to a friend. Hadn't realised there was so much shit hidden under the surface of my calm and cool exterior (yeah right...) ... my love comforted me and bought me lunch and said he suspected there were things unresolved that I had yet to deal with but that I was worth it and we could work through them together as they arose.

Dear gods alive, I love that man.
