I spent Valentine's Day working. Two shows. After the second show, I walked home in the subfreezing temps (not awfull in and of itself), bought some beer, and sat on the couch. Where I hear an unearthly whining.
MY ROOMMATES FUCKING CAT IS IN HEAT AGAIN.
I really thought I was in hell. I don't really give two shits about V-day, but the atmosphere is pretty oppressive. I spent an hour and a half helping one of my best friends choose gifts for his fiance. Glad to help *someone* get laid.
Grabbing drinks with a friend tonight, and sneaking her into my show. It's a situation that could be quite complicated, but has so far remained simple.
We work together from time to time, and enjoy each others' company. This is the basic fact.
Other facts:
1. She's hot. It's objectve fact. I've never had it in my head to chase her, and have never tried. None of this changes the fact that she is, indeed, hot.
2. She's recently divorced. I know her ex, too, and work with him occaisionally. Rumors are he's left town, but he's still a friend.
3. I'm fairly certain neither of us are looknig for anything serious right now. No matter from whom it would be.
This isn't the biggest worry in the world. Chances are we'll have a drink, a few laughs, and the night will end. It's just been on my mind since I realized that, no matter what I hypothetically think, I probably would not turn down a little naked play time with her.
