Last weekend was my brothers 10 year wedding anniversary. I dont remember much of it thanks to the cocktailbar in his garden. But I found some amazing Videos from 4 o clock in the morning on my iPhone.
What I do remember is a picture of my parents in his living room. That picture was made on my brothers wedding ten years ago. It shows my mother healthy and active. Now, ten years later, she gets additional oxygen all the time and can barely walk. In the ten years since that picture was made she had countless operations to fix broken vertebrae due to osteoporosis, was in a coma for a couple of weeks and spent endless months in hospitals all over northern Germany. In addition to that she said farewell to me more than once.
