Today I talked to a friend at work who wants to stop smoking. I told him about my mother. That she was in hospital since christmas and as she couldn't leave the bed or even move because of the broken vertebrae she couldn't smoke.
So she hasn't smoked a single cigarette since christmas and pledged that she would never smoke one again.When I arrived at my parents house this saturday, she, being out of hospital for a single day, was smoking again...
So I wished my friend good luck.
In the meantime, my mother stopped smoking again. When I talked to my friend this afternoon, she was already back in hospital crying in pain.
