I visited my mother in hospital today. She was feeling well so far... She will be allowed to walk for the first time, since she entered hospital 4 weeks ago, tomorrow. She is still in pain and gets heavy medication, but at least she knows which day it is and she remembers things that happened more than 5 minutes ago. That is quite an improvement...

The last neighbors did get evicted and now the new people next door are driving me nuts. They've only been here for a few days, but they have managed to piss off most of the other tenants and the landlord is tired of hearing our complaints. The new place is larger and we get a garage.

My mother feels a little better. Mostly because there will be no operation. She got x-rayed and the broken vertebra seems to be healing all right without an operation. My mother is no longer on intensive care, but she will have to stay in hospital for several weeks because off the broken vertebra. She feels better now and I guess they reduced her medication a little.We dont know if she will have an operation, which she is very afraid of.

Christmas was disturbing... My mother spent christmas in great pain (she lifted something heavy on Thursday) and refused to go to the doctor or hospital because she was afraid of spending christmas in hospital. On christmas eve she agreed to visit the doctor and got an injection to relief her pain.
