Well this can be a music journal.
Yesterday I was at my sisters who has cable and I was watching MTV for a bit and I saw something horrible. I saw Jessica Simpson's version of "these boots are made for walking" for the new dukes of hazard movie. Think I nearly cried. Nacy Sinatra originally sang this powerful song about walking all over shit guys and JS has turned it into the most disgusting....thing, it's not even a cover, it no longer holds it's original meaning any more, and the film clip only detracts from the songs meaning even more!
Only my opinion.
I used to enjoy getting up on Saturday and Sunday mornings and watching Rage and Video Hits, checking out the music and clips and stuff, but I can't do it anymore. It's just such shit most of the time, and it seems that these song stay in hte charts for longer periods of time, so you turn on the TV each week and you just see the same thing week after week! It's just pissing me off, I can only watch Rage in the middle of the night when they aren't playing the charts, and even then it's not as good as it used to be. You just have to wait for someone good to guest program on Saturday nights!

Well my girl got me a couple of presents on Saturday cause things have got me a bit down, but I've stayed strong for the family and just kept shit going, so she got me a little gift. I got a new t-shirt and the new System of a Down album, I'm listening to it now as I type...pretty good so far, usually takes me a couple of listens to get into an album. She's such a sweety!
Oh lastly,
WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THE CHIPMUNK VOICE OF THAT AKON SONG!
I can't remember what it's called but it really is giving me the shits. It's everywhere I can't escape it!
Well I'm going to listen to the rest of Meszmerize.
