Been a very hectic week with no sleep...working at my job, taking care of the granparents,trying to improve my social life didn't allow anytime for the website so it still has lame coming soon pages....

On another note, the following poem received a 33 of 35 rating on poetry.com and is supposed to be published in the fall poetry book ...a little excited..... I wrote this when I first became ill .....so I'm biting down on my lip and am going tobrave it out and share with all my friends here...

The Epitome of Lust

How much have I sold my soul for?
Is it worth the pain that fills my heart now?
The tears that fill my eyes,
the blade that grazes my skin?
Out of synch pounding echoes in my ears.
My throat burns with an everlasting scream that escaped my lips.
My heart aches with each beat,
and that screaming in my ears... I know it is my own.

Everytime I give myself to the takers,
my soul becomes more shallow than the time before.
I didn't recognize that pale face in the mirror as my own.
How much was my soul worth to you?

My eyes are now windows to fieds of emptiness,
followed by bright red scars on my arms and legs.
Put me back in the drawer,
I've checked out.
