I have Plantar Faciitis. Icky.. The doctor said it's one of the worst cases he's seen. Especially at my age. But I am on my feet all day long.
SO I got a long stern talking to from this Pod. resident that is prolly yonger than me. About waiting so long to get care. My heals were so swollen that the doctor decided to bind my feet. Basically they spray this glue all over your feet and wrap them from heal to the beginning of your toes with a tight bandage. You have to leave the bandages on for 5 to 7 days. And you can't get them wet. They'll re wrap them every week for 4 weeks. Are you wondering anything??? Well I was...... How the hell am I going to shower??? I have to wash my hair and my body. And aren't my feet gonna start to stink???
Also I have to wear these styrofoam like insoles. Not nearly as comfy as my gel insoles. Not only all that but I have to do all these things to care for my feet. Icing them. stretching them, I have to wear shoes 24 hours a day. After all this for a month I have to have a cortisone shot in each heel. 
He says that he hopes this all works. Ultimately surgery may be the only answer. I've been living with the bothersome pain of this for so long I just don't see having surgery for it. What shocked me the most was that the doctor told me if I had come in next month it would prolly had been so bad that he would have had to cast both feet and put me in a wheel chair for 2 months.
