There has been no sunshine here in 12 days.

The thing is that it isn't even snowing wich is rare here for this time of year. It's just this rainy drizzle crap. It sux.

I have decided that I will never ask for an expensive present again. Last mothers day I asked for a fairly expensive garnet ring. I had had a pretty hard year and at the time Jay said that he thought I should have the ring. So he gave it to me.
I love it and I wear it often. But we're having some money issues right now and Jay will bring up that he got me that ring. It makes me feel really guilty.

We've had a pretty rough start of the year. Both my sister and her boyfriend ended up in the hospital on seperate occasions. Mike had to have his appendix removed. OUCH! and Colleen had a virus that caused her to get severe vertigo. It was so bad she couldn't stand or walk for 2 days. I'm told she's doing much better now.

Now I've been stricken with a mystery illness. I've been batteling fatigue for a couple of months. Now I have stabbing right upper quadrent pain, nausea, and dizziness. Anyone know a doctor. I don't really want to go to one. whatever Yes I know I work at a hospital. blush

I didn't really make any New Years resolutions. I do want to focus on getting really healthy.

This entry has kinda been a downer so I thougt I would tell you a funny story from the archieves of happycherries life. This happens to involve my twin sister Nee Nee. When my sister and I were younger we spent alot of time helping out on my cousins farm in northern Iowa. If you've ever been on a dairy farm then you know what a manure pit is. For those of you who don't know, I will educate you. biggrin A manure pit is a great big concreate tank that hold manure. Inside the dairy barn there are grates and convayor belts that collect the manure and take it outside. The tank can hold about 60 days of manure. (ew) When the tank is full the manure is pumped into a spreader and the farmer can spread the manure on his fields.
Anyways my uncles farm had one of these it looked simmilar to this.

When we would take cows out to the fields we would have to walk a long ways back. There was a very skinny retaining wall between the manure pit and one of the building and if you wanted to risk walking over that your walk would be much shorter. Well we were allways told not to do that. One day for reasons I don't remeber now my sister Nee Nee decided that she would cross the wall to save time. My cousins and I all decided that we would wast time by stopping to watch her accomplish this daring feet. My sister had been a gymnast for many years and the wall was silghtly wider than the 4 inches of a balance beam. I don't think she ever dreamed that she would fall. But she so did. Face first into what I can only guess was weeks worth of manure in 85 or 90 degree Iowa heat. It was one of the most satiistfying laughs I've ever had. Of course we had to fish her out. There was a ladder on one side. Once she was out she was covered head to toe. My aunt wouldn't even let her into the mud room of thier house. She gave her a bar of soap and made her wash off with the hose. tongue

Actually, we just performed there at the performing arts center (which was on the campus of the HS and REALLY nice) once during the day for grade schoolers and once at night for the public. So we didn't have any contact w/ students. Does that mean I'm not a strong, strong man? I can make up some stories about knife fights and gun battles with the locals if it'll help. I have scars. wink
