Well, time for a health update:

When I first started getting back into shape my resting heart rate was 90, my cholesterol was a whopping 265 (I was at the point that I kept hearing this ever present ticking sound), my blood pressure was 170 and my weight hovered between 205 and 210.

Today, my heartrate is 66, my cholesterol is comfortably under 200, my blood pressure is at 127 and! ....I tip the scales at a mere 174!

It feels good, really good. Ever since I got my physical taken late last year and got the wake up call further compounded by my mother's affirmation that we do have a history of heart disease in the family, I have been concerned about my health. I know a lot of people, particularly those still in their twenties and younger, are probably not as concerned about their own health, I could be wrong, I know when I was in my twenties, coupled with my engendered fear of doctors, I didn't pay my health much attention, I've always been reasonably fit. But, over time, I did put on some weight and wound up getting the perverbial smack in the head I needed.

The younger you are, the more resiliant you are, usually. You have more time to get all your ducks in a row and to a certain extent, your tendency to feel indestructible, to a degree, is not completely without merit but hey, down the road you may find out things have changed and the sooner you start taking care of yourself the better. If I hadn't gotten that physical, I might still be overweight and who knows how much worse my overall health would be. None of us lives forever and we should make good use of the time we have.

Heh heh heh, plenty of moves. I think crushes are just designed to be torture.
