Argh! For want of a camera! The hummingbird family that has set up camp in my work building's courtyard, check my Natural Beauty picture folder, is thriving with gobbs of wonderful activity! The babies are almost as big as Mom now. Whenever she sits down upon the nest she looks as if she has three heads, one atop her shoulders where one ought to be and two more coming out from under her chest. It's a damn sight to see. Now, she is hopping about the nest sticking her tongue out and pecking near her children in what is assummed to be her attempt at coaxing them out. Either that or she is teaching them how to use their tongues to get food because so far their only response is to stick their tongues back out at her, it's like watching three children on a playground teasing one another. I fear soon they will be ready to leave and this incredible experience will come to an end. I will be happy to see them off all the while I will hope they return some day to start families of their own.

The straightness is only a temporary measure though, fighting nature gets to be such a chore!
