My niece just melts my heart time and again. She turned two last month and for a while I was "Unco" or "Unco Appa juice" to her but last night I was upgraded again.
She was heading out to the car, holding her mother's hand as she went and I called out to her "Goodnight, Ember." She then looked back at me, waved and said "Goodnight Unco Set," it was so wonderful to hear.
She is growing so fast, not to mention tall, she is apparently taller then most of the three year olds in her play group. I sometimes wish she could stay little forever because I know as she grows older and more independent she won't need me as much. I am really glad my brother and sister-in-law live so close by so that I can be there to see her become the person she is going to be.
