His thoughts were with his princess of the east. She was from the neighbouring town and her father arranged that she had to marry the major. They were close friends, but because she wasn't willing to bow to his will she was restrained to her room. No one was allowed to see her and her father spread rumors how she was bewitched by foul beasts. It marked the start to hunt down everything and everyone that didn't behave as expected. The first victim was a cyclops living deep out in the woods. He could have razed both villages in the blink of an eye, but he was afraid of the consequences. The whole continent was on edge and the fear of another beastwar was high. So he choose to search for a new home. That has been several moons ago and things didn't change for the better since then.
