The ANSWER to THE QUESTION of WHY?
I laugh very easily. Ask anyone who knows me. The above mini-movie made me teary eyed. I'm not longing for Family Guy. Or this newfangled YouTube thing. I do love me some teary eyed laughter though. It's the best kind. It's what makes getting out of bed. Well, you get it.
Anyway, I've been watching Firefly the last couple nights. I'd never gotten into the show personally. I'd been avoiding it because of some misdirected angst over the degrading quality of Buffy and Angel, followed by their out-and-out cancellation. Anyway, being a fan of all things Whedonesque, it's been a true struggle. Anyhow, I caved awhile back after I caught the movie Serenity at The Laurelhurst with Allysum, brokenbeatnik and hippomonki (or whomeverthefuckshefeelslikegoingbythisweek). Anyway, so I've been getting into the show because I finally convinced Eddie that it would be OKAY to watch. Even Funny. Maybe, maybe. It's not the Trek, but it could be fun (or so I reasoned). Anyway, this is all I have to say:
The Hero of Canton, the man we call Jayne
That's tear inducing hilarity right there.
