If you really want to see what really matters most to me, just take a real short drive

I've been wondering if people still confess. As a non-religious person myself, I've never done it in any official capacity. But I find that in the little ways, in a private journal, or to an anonymous friend at a bar, that I still do it. I want to be absolved and sprinkled with holy water. What do you do to ease your mind?

The air in basements is so thin. It fits me, laying here, thinking about everything I can't control. I see these big, bright smiles of my friends so clearly in my head. I know that my concept of the world is a fantasy, yet I can't but dream for the day that it's real. Very real. What is waking up in the morning without a sense of hope anyway?
