I don't believe in an interventionist God

Tonight Im going to keep my candles burning. Im going to let the hair on the back of my head, the sweat in my brow and the tiredness in my fingers guide a little miracle into the sweetest chorus Ive ever known. 2005 has been many things, and they all mean more to me than any other year stacked up before them. It only took losing a child for me to see how beautiful a chorus can be; a true ripple in the pond.

but I believe in Love, and I know you do too.

I've decided that the most beautiful moment of 2005 turning into 2006 is to simply see my breath in this cold house. The physical proof that I exist is right in front of me, stark and pure. It reminds me this is the warmest place Ive ever been.
