Anyone going to theFelix Da Housecat show Saturday night @ L5? I swear I havent been to a bar or club downtown in about 3 years, when I was living in the dorms. Am I really that unhip or smart? I am expecting to go though and was shocked to see that he's playing San Diego. I highly recomend going if your into Electro-Clash acts like Fischerpsooner, Ladytron and Miss Kittin.
So I voted on Tuesday for the first time. It was only the 2nd opportunity Ive had to vote and figured it was time to Chose or Loose. I actually felt good after leaving the polls, like I accomplished something. I highly recomend it to everyone who didnt vote, but that's really your choice.
First it was the Beta Band, then Beulah and now it looks like The Libertines are going to call it quits. The third band this year to split, not to mention three very good bands. I dont blame the Libertines though even though I feel that they could have been one the next biggest bands in England. Pete Doherty just doesnt seem to be kicking heroine anytime soon and they have been touring without him for almost 6 months now. I really wanted to see them last month when they played San Diego, but it would have been like seeing Joy Division without Ian Curtis. I think they will reform someday, but I wouldnt expect anytime soon.
