i have kicked alcohol to the curb, it's not doing a goddamn thing for me and i need to concentrate on other things more.
one of three people i consider a best friend has dies firday of a heart attack. he was only 34 but he looked and felt more like 45. i hadnt talked to him for a few weeks and with i had had the chance before he went.
um, not a whole lot else. the local venue most in support of the music scene has closed. the big one was saturday night, everyoen had a great time and several thousand dollars worth of domestic and imported beer was given away to anyone who had five bucks to get in the door. except me because the night before i got drunk and swore off the sauce.
last, but not least, i have decided to do a concept show. i will cover the entire album "the rising tide" by sunny day real estate. the thing is, i am going to ask mina kaye to sing most of it because i can;t hit jeremy enigk's falsetto notes and will do the backing vocals and anything i can sing without straining. i figure it;s a good 45 minute album, add in time between songs and an hour set is right there.
it'll probably be a one-off deal, but i want to do it and i knwo mina has been dying to sing on a stage again so maybe by the late winter i will have sequenced it all and she'll learn the songs.
