so i'm chillin, reading news on the net and see where extremists in iraq have threatened to use a new and previously unseen weapon (supposedly) against the us army if they attack.
i think it's a nuke, personally. i mean, iran has nuclear capabilities and i know that whatever they anounce to the world is probably six months old at least, so betwen that and the missing explosives being the type used to detonate a small plunger-type nuclear bomb, and iran's main export right now is insurgents into iraq to fight the us army, it just adds up.
so now i'm kind of scared and sad because someone is going to try to start a nuclear war to prove their deity is right, but none of them exist so it will be a waste and total loss.

well you could look at it this way and say that the US gov't is playing this up to keep the people afraid. People who are afraid will listen to anyone who claims to be in charge and offer safety. After all it is election time and Bush's campaign seems to revolve around the war on Terror ... so wouldn't it make sense to boost his approval rating by making the terrorists seem more than just a nussance like Kerry's campaign has said they should be reduced to.
but yeah nuclear war scares me like woah. I don't want to have to react to something like that in my life-time to have a nuclear bomb dropped close to home somewhere. I mean if they launch nukes then America will launch them and everyone else around the world will and then poof no more world like we know it.

i'm workin with a guy who used to run an air force nuke site in...south dakota, i think? interesting stories. you should check out ammortal's journal entry on the war...something tells me you'd agree.
